Filtration Manufacturer Expands in Hanover
Porvair Filtration Group, a manufacturer of high-technology filtration systems for demanding applications, has moved into a 55,000-square-foot facility located at 301 Business Lane in Ashland.
In 2007, Porvair established its U.S. office in the Lakeridge Business Center in Hanover County when they acquired Omnifilter and Manufacturing Inc. The move to Business Lane allows for Porvair’s expanded operations and doubles their operating space. The Hanover facility serves as a local hub for all U.S. business to Porvair Filtration Group.
“This is a result of eight or nine years of hard work. We started with a very small company with about 6-7 employees about four miles down the road,” said Kevin Nelson President of Porvair USA. “Their hard work over the years has turned this a business large enough to grow into a building like this. This building is all about what they’ve done.”
Porvair began their search for a new building in 2014 with a goal of finding a self-standing building that they could renovate to fit their needs. After looking at several facilities, they chose the building on Business Lane just four miles from their previous location.
“Porvair really excelled at their business location off of Lakeridge Parkway and now they’ve expanded into a building where they have plenty of room to grow,” said Edwin Gaskin, Director of Hanover County Economic Development. “Hanover County is an ideal home for advanced manufacturers and we want to continue to be a part of that success story.”
