Hanover’s Perspective

Hanover Accepting Spirit of Volunteerism Nominations from Businesses

Volunteers receiving "Spirit of Volunteerism" plaques

Local businesses support the community by:

  • volunteering their time and expertise for various committees, boards, school and community projects.
  • donating goods and services.
  • making financial contributions to support local causes.

Hanover’s countywide Spirit of Volunteerism Awards honor these contributions within seven different categories.  For the business sector, the Commitment to Community Award highlights the invaluable support that businesses give back to our community on a daily basis.

Hanover would like to highlight these untold stories and provide even greater exposure to the organizations or needs that are addressed through your support.  All award nominees will be recognized and award recipients announced during Hanover’s countywide Spirit of Volunteerism Celebration on May 15, 2018.  As in all categories, if chosen as the 2018 Commitment to Community Award recipient, a contribution of $250 will be made to the organization your business chooses to support.

The nomination involves four (4) narrative questions and two (2) letters of support and a photo of your employees.   Visit www.HanoverVolunteers.org for the nomination information packet and submission links.

Past recipients include Pepicelli’s Pizza and Chick-fil-A of Mechanicville. Click here to read about how some Hanover businesses support the community.

Submit your nomination today! The deadline is March 16, 2018.
