Hanover Hosts UCI Fan Zones
Finally, the UCI Road World Championships are here! On Wednesday, the world’s top road cyclists will battle it out in Hanover County during the UCI Road World Championships Men’s Elite Time Trials. The race begins at Kings Dominion at 1 p.m. and travels mostly down Route 301 through Hanover County. We've told you about our top spots for cycling fans, and now here is where you can catch the race action.
Fan Zones will be held in three locations:
Kings Dominion – The kickoff party will offer cyclist photos and autographs.
Bikes, Brews & BBQ at Hanover Tavern – “Bikes, Brews & BBQ” will be a free, family-friendly event offering prime viewing spots, food and beverages.
Hanover Bike Fest at Rutland Commons – Enjoy food, beverages, live music and vendors. The event can be accessed via Cool Spring Road and Combs Road while Route 301 is closed.
