Hanover County Economic Development has unveiled a fully redesigned website that delivers a more intuitive, accessible, and visually engaging experience for new and existing businesses, entrepreneurs and residents. Available to access at HanoverVirginia.com, the site features refreshed visuals, streamlined content, enhanced accessibility and improved mobile responsiveness, ensuring a seamless experience across devices.

The Hanover County Economic Development website is designed to assist businesses by providing easy access to the information, tools, and resources they need to start, expand, or relocate in Hanover County.  It offers guidance on available sites and buildings, incentive programs, workforce data, community demographics, and the services the department provides to help companies succeed. The site functions as both a gateway for prospective investors and a support platform for existing businesses looking to grow within the County.

A key enhancement of the new site is its fixed navigation bar, which keeps essential menu items visible as users scroll. This feature makes it easier to explore business resources, community data, available properties, and workforce information without losing one’s place.

The redesign also introduces a comprehensive ADA compliance module, offering customizable accessibility tools that support visitors with visual, auditory, and cognitive needs. This addition underscores the County’s dedication to ensuring equitable access to information for all users.

The launch includes the first-ever dedicated Economic Development Authority (EDA) page, giving residents and business leaders clearer insight into the EDA’s mission, membership, and role in supporting strategic and targeted economic growth throughout Hanover County. The page strengthens transparency and makes it easier for stakeholders to stay informed about EDA initiatives.

The website refresh debuts the department’s new logo design, which incorporates familiar elements from the previous logo to maintain continuity with the Department’s established identity. While the updated logo introduces a more modern and streamlined look, the previous logo will continue to be used in select applications to maintain continuity with the department’s longstanding visual identity.

While this launch marks an important milestone, it is not the final step. “We’re excited to introduce a website that better serves our current and prospective business community and showcases the strengths of Hanover County. The improved navigation, accessibility tools, updated branding, and new EDA page create a more welcoming and efficient experience for all visitors,” said Brandon Turner, Director of Hanover County Economic Development. “And we’re not stopping here — our team is continuing to enhance the site with additional features and content in the months ahead.”

The department also expresses gratitude to our project partner, Rick Whittington Consulting, for their creativity, expertise, and collaboration throughout this redesign. Their work has been instrumental in creating a site that reflects the County’s strengths.

Hanover County Economic Development invites the community, business leaders, and regional partners to explore the new site and discover the tools and information designed to support economic growth and opportunity.
