Hanover’s Perspective
Hanover Partners with Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond for Business Survey and Economic Outlook Seminar

Hanover County Economic Development is proud to announce a unique collaboration with the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond to conduct a Hanover Business Survey, offering local businesses a vital opportunity to share insights into the current economic climate. This strategic initiative aims to gather real-time data on business conditions, challenges, and expectations directly from the Hanover business community.
Understanding Local Business Needs: Hanover Business Survey | Dates to Complete Survey: August 13-29, 2025
The Hanover Business Survey is designed to capture the voices of businesses across all sectors—manufacturing, retail, services, and beyond. From workforce challenges to supply chain dynamics and future investment plans, the survey provides a pulse check on the health and trends shaping Hanover’s economy. This short survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. All answers provided will be held confidential and will be reported in aggregate form only (with no individual identification).
“This partnership underscores our commitment to supporting a data-driven approach to economic development,” said Brandon Turner, Director of Hanover County Economic Development. “We’re grateful to work alongside the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond to bring professional insights and national context to our local business landscape.”
Collaboration with the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond
The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, a key institution in monitoring and analyzing regional economic conditions, brings a wealth of expertise to this initiative. By collaborating on the survey, the Federal Reserve Bank ensures that the collected data not only informs Hanover County’s local planning efforts but also contributes to a broader understanding of economic activity in Central Virginia and beyond.
