Incubator Tenant Graduates Into New Space

ITL Virginia's new facility is three times the size with more than 1,500 square feet of workshop space, a dedicated receiving area, offices and a boardroom.ITL Virginia Inc., the U.S.-based subsidiary of Integrated Technologies Limited (ITL), has recently graduated from the Dominion Resources Innovation Center (DRIC) and has moved into their own facility. The new facility is three times the size with more than 1,500 square feet of workshop space, a dedicated receiving area, offices and a boardroom.

Established in 1977 and headquartered in Kent, England, ITL is a contract designer, developer and manufacturer specializing in medical, diagnostic, analytical, precision electro-mechanical and laboratory instrumentation. ITL is one of the few independent European product design and manufacturing companies.

“We are experiencing a demand from U.S.-based medical device customers who want to use our design and manufacturing services but would prefer, or are confined to, doing this on U.S. soil,” said Thomas Jull, ITL Virginia vice president of operations. “This is leading us to set up our own quality management system in the U.S. and to become FDA certified. We hope to be certified by the end of spring as this timeframe compliments potential manufacturing projects that we have lined up.”

ITL is a contract designer, developer and manufacturer specializing in medical, diagnostic, analytical, precision electro-mechanical and laboratory instrumentation.Plans are also underway to launch a new website. Additionally, the Ashland office has hired a new business developer to promote their services and products in the U.S.

ITL first broke into the U.S. market in 2013 when they opened their first U.S. office in Ashland’s DRIC.

“The Dominion Resources Innovation Center was repositioned to serve as an effective ‘soft landing’ location for international technology companies looking to come to the U.S. in addition to early-stage domestic companies from Central Virginia,” said Edwin Gaskin, director of Hanover County Economic Development. “ITL has done just that. We’re pleased to see them grow into an independent space and remain in the Town of Ashland.”
